As much as I love Northwestern football, Coach Fitz is only the second coolest Pat Fitzgerald in the state today (and for the foreseeable future): Awesome, awesome, awesome.
If only Daley and Stroger were next in line...

The only thing I don't like about this is that it's a knock against Northwestern, with Blago being an alum.
In terms of blame and image issues, being an alum of the Illinois School of Politics trumps fancy book learnin' at any university. NU can be blamed for this no more than they can be blamed for Charlton Heston's stance on gun rights.
I love the differences between the local and national media responses. CNN and the network nightly news programs were shocked and aghast, rightly so, at the behavior outlined in the warrant. The local channels didn't seem all that surprised or outraged. Guess we're just used to it.
